Tara Troubles Push Biden Into a Slide

Former Vice President Joe Biden is fighting allegations of sexual assault from his former Senate staffer Tara Reade. Mr. Biden has been quiet on the issue until this morning when he came out with a categorial denial and asked the National Archives to release any complaint Ms. Reade may have filed at the time.

Biden, the presumptive 2020 Democratic Presidential nominee has been enjoying a pandemic popularity bump, taking drive by shots at the administration's COVID 19 response without having to run a high visibility campaign on the road. However, Ms. Reade's allegations are taking their toll. Over the last five days @JoeBiden has dropped from 59 percent positives in Twitter to 39 percent positives today. During this drop Secretary Hillary Clinton provided her endorsement of Mr. Biden, however, the high profile endorsement only gave the former VP a two percent bump that didn't do much to soften the slide.
